The Baptism, Filling, & Gifts of the Holy Spirit

In the midst of a great deal of confusion arising out of the present discussion concerning the doctrine of the Holy Spirit and its meaning for contemporary man, Dr. W.A. Criswell speaks to the issue with the voice of biblical authority and addresses himself to the sensitive areas of the Spirit's baptism, filling and gifts with the combined skill of an able exegete and lucid expositor. The careful distinctions which the author draws between the baptism of the Spirit and his filling, between the gift of the Holy Spirit and his gifts to the church, and his extensive study of the much neglected theme of spiritual gifts, combine to make this volume one which merits the attention of Christians everywhere, especially those whose lives have been touched by the modern charismatic movement.
